Bronze casting

9.30am – 4.30pm 8 Saturdays from 26 July $625+$100 workshop fee=$725
This is a hands-on course in creating bronze sculptures up to 5Kg. wt. using the traditional Investment Lost-Wax Casting process. Participants learn multiple techniques for creating their own sculpture in wax, then how to sprue, invest, cast, chase, and patinate their own piece to gallery display quality. Recommended: all levels.

Simple silicone mold making

6-9pm 12 Mondays from 21 July $420 + $160 materials+workshop fees=$580
A course designed for complete beginners and those with some experience in casting to explore the exciting range of possibilities silicone mold making offers. Imagine casting a lobster in concrete, a toaster in chocolate or a light bulb in expanding foam! One kilo of silicone rubber is included as part of the course, some size restrictions apply. Recommended: Beginners to intermediate.

Steel structures for everyone

6-9pm 15 Tuesdays from 22 July $530+$60 workshop fee = $590
Steel structures is an introductory course to the equipment and processes associated with steel fabrication including Mig welding, Oxy-acetylene cutting, forging, and hand tools. Participants are invited to design and construct a work using a selection of supplied steel formats (bar, plate, pipe, etc).
