Communication in the work place plays a vital role in the success of the individual, team and organisation. Effective communication positively impacts work place relationships and outcomes. Avoiding the pitfalls of poor listening, unclear directions, assumptions, or unclear emails is critical in developing excellent work place communication.  Learn how to improve your communication skills so that others want to hear what you have to say! Identify your work place communication strengths and weaknesses and create a personal strategy that takes your communication skills to the next level.

This participative course explores:

  • why is communication so challenging
  • your communication strengths and weaknesses
  • what is good listening and how to effectively listen
  • how to communicate so people want to listen to you
  • discover your workplace communication strategy
  • effective communication within the workplace
  • mindful communication via email
  • adjusting to different personality types or communicate to your audience
  • how to develop and deliver succinct communication – less is more
  • role of confidence and assertion
  • creating rapport, use of voice, body language and other visuals
  • your personal Communications Improvement Plan
