Communications for volunteers
Volunteer community organisations (such as sports groups, arts groups, charitable groups, social justice organisations, and religious groups) are the backbone of society, but many find communicating the work they do to be daunting or overwhelming. Communications for Volunteers aims to empower community groups by providing simple, low-cost ways for organisations to improve their communications without burning out their volunteers. It is a hands-on, entry-level course intended for those with little or no experience in marketing or communications (although a basic level of computer literacy is required).

Data can enhance our understanding of the world and provide guidance to decision making. But data can also mislead and confuse. The purpose of this course is to help you develop your 'data sense' and 'data literacy' to better manage, analyse, discover and communicate critical insights derived from your data.
The ability to negotiate well plays a critical role in all aspects of our lives. We negotiate every day, whether we are aware of it or not. Effective negotiation can positively affect our work and our relationships, or it can destroy them. Often parties take positions that make achieving agreeable outcomes difficult, if not impossible. By learning about and adopting a principled approach to negotiation we can fashion win-win outcomes that are wise, efficient, and designed to maintain relationships.
