About the CCE

The Centre for Continuing Education is the not-for profit outreach arm of The Australian National University (ANU). Our role is to develop and maintain ANU as a leading provider of lifelong learning opportunities in community, workplace and professional education.

We have four main programs of quality short courses each year.

CONTINUING EDUCATION
- summer – Jan and Feb
- autumn – from Feb to Jun
- winter/spring – from Jul to Dec

UNIVERSITY PREPARATION
- full year – Feb to Nov
- first semester intensive – Feb to Jun
- second semester intensive – July to Nov

VISUAL ACCESS ART/OPEN ART
- first semester – Feb to Jun
- second semester – Jul to Nov

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
- Feb to Dec

Our teachers love their subject and are experienced adult educators. They come from the University, other educational institutions, the professions and the ACT community.

Our students come from all walks of life and academic backgrounds—many with university degrees and many without. Each year we enrol 5,000 people in our friendly yet challenging programs, people who want to pursue fresh ideas and learn new skills for personal or professional reasons for a reasonable investment of time and money.

“The Centre for Continuing Education at the ANU provides high quality short courses at reasonable prices.

Whether you wish to upgrade your skills, follow new interests or discover fresh ideas I am sure you will find courses of interest.

You do not need academic qualifications to enrol, just the time and enthusiasm to learn. I hope you enjoy exploring what's on offer and find the courses that are right for you.

I commend the Centre’s program and look forward to you joining with us at ANU."
