Meanings associated with being a mother (or father) have changed immeasurably over recent decades and there are high rates of depression for women after the birth of an infant. This course will provide snapshots in the form of Report Cards on developments and debates from within the humanities that explore this territory and provide for new perspectives. Very suitable for midwives, maternal and child health nurses, doctors or social workers.

We feel and communicate much better, and can achieve much more, after building high self-esteem and confidence. Then it is much easier to stand up for ourselves. Learn the strategies to achieve high self esteem and confidence, thereby creating control in our lives and achieving better results for ourselves.

This course offers an experiential introduction to Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) the revolutionary mindfulness based program for reducing stress, overcoming fear , working in a high-stress job or preparing for the performance of your life - ACT can help you breakthrough psychological issues and find enduring fulfilment. NB You will be asked to bring your own issues of "stuckness" and run through the 'lens' of 6 core processes of ACT to create a rich, full and meaningful life.
