....2007 participation fees for all of our collections currently available. .. [modified] internal pricing guide ... so you have all fees for all collections - and the reduced fees for collections where there is content overlap. You will see that there is a tab for each collection and its fees. The "U.S. Fees 0%" fees are noted simply as a guide for you so you can see the difference in price - as Australian and New Zealand participants receive 20% off. To make things even more convenient, I've added in the 9% consortial savings on all ACFs.JSTOR 2006 international pricing for all collections (2/8/05)
For collections that will still be in development come 2007 (Biological Sciences, Business II and the Arts & Sciences Complement), I've noted the pro-rated AAFs as well as the full Annual Access Fee once the collection is completed.
Therefore, the attached guide is helpful for participants and potential participants that are interested in reviewing fee details for collections.
For renewals, simply the AAFs apply as noted, unless the participant still has credits that apply.
.... includes the reduced fees for collections where there is content overlap. For collections that will still be in development come 2006 (Biological Sciences, Arts & Sciences IV, and the Arts & Sciences Complement), I've noted the pro-rates at the bottom. I noted the full AAFs in the spreadsheet because I think it is important for folks to have the full fees since that is what they'll be responsible for once the collection is complete (and that is the amount that need be noted on license/rider documentation) - pro-rated amounts will be noted on the invoices. The additional 7.5% ACF savings is not noted, but would be reflected on the invoice.JSTOR 2006 renewal pricing (2/8/05)
Note: Archive Capital Fee (ACF) and the Annual Access Fee (AAF)
.... the Arts & Sciences I Collection, Arts & Sciences II Collection and Arts & Sciences III Collection noted as "funded" for the CAUL universities, and then have noted "0"s for the collections that won't be invoiced for 2006 due to credits (as outlined in following document). The 2006 AAFs noted in the spreadsheet for the Arts & Sciences IV Collection, the Arts & Sciences Complement and the Biological Sciences ARE the pro-rated amounts (not the full AAFs) since these collections are not yet complete. These pro-rates are as follows:Final quotation from JSTOR 2005-2007 (5/8/04)
Arts & Sciences IV Collection AAF: 80%
Arts & Sciences Complement AAF: 60%
Biological Sciences Collection AAF: 65%
All titles of the Ecology & Botany Collection (29 total) are also part of the Biological Sciences Collection. However, the Biological Sciences Collection will also contain new titles that are not part of the Ecology & Botany Collection (nor will they be added to the Ecology & Botany Collection). Therefore, the Biological Sciences Collection is a much broader collection than the Ecology & Botany Collection, expanding content in areas such as biodiversity, conservation, paleontology, and plant science. And, it will cover new disciplines such as cell biology and zoology.JSTOR cost calculations - ARIIC proposal
In total, the Biological Sciences Collection will contain more than 100 titles. For a list of the titles currently available in the Biological Sciences Collection (those released) see http://www.jstor.org/about/biosci.list.html. You will see there also a link to a page that contains other titles still in development but that will be released into the collection at a later date.Institutions that already license the Ecology & Botany Collection and then choose migrate to the Biological Sciences Collection will pay reduced fees to account for the overlap of content - so that you pay only once for each title, regardless of the number of collections the titles reside in.
Note #1: Biological Sciences fees noted have been reduced appropriately for participants that already license Arts & Sciences I or both Ecology & Botany and Arts & Sciences I. All CAUL participants currently license Arts & Sciences I. Arts & Sciences I and Ecology & Botany participants are noted in ( ).Note #2: The 2005 AAF for Biological Sciences will be waived for CAUL participants since the collection is still in development and since the content currently available has been paid for via Arts & Sciences I.
Note #3: Participants that choose to license the Biological Sciences Collection will receive the additional group ACF savings of 7.5%.
