Admission & Scholarships

Information

For information or advice about eligibility for Honours see http://www.anu.edu.au/science , or contact The BaMBi Administrator in room 1.31 in the BaMBi Building, e-mail bambi.admin@anu.edu.au or phone: (02) 6125 2284.

Supervision

Entry into Honours is dependent upon intending students organizing appropriate supervision. It is the student's responsibility to select an Honours project and obtain the agreement of a supervisor. Students considering enrolling for Honours are strongly advised to speak with several staff members in the School of Biology about the projects they are offering. Honours projects in the BaMBi program may also be supervised by appropriate non-School of Biology staff, for example senior staff in JCSMR and various Divisions of CSIRO*. Once agreement on project and supervisor has been reached, the student, with the help of their supervisor, should prepare a one page project summary and submit it to the Honours Coordinator by October 31st 2008 together with a completed Application for Entry to the Honours Year form, which must be signed by your supervisor(s). However late applications will be accepted until November 28th 2008. Once an approved project summary has been submitted, students may assume that they are accepted into the Honours program for 2009 unless they hear otherwise.

All supervisory arrangements must be approved by the Head of BaMBi.

*  Staff who have not previously supervised a student in the BaMBi honours program must organise an appropriate co-supervisor with experience in honours student supervision.
