Basic Hindi Conversation A (HIND1006) should be taken concurrently with Introductory Hindi A (HIND1002).

 

Textbooks

Online chapter by chapter lessons & exercises are provided to accompany the course texts:

  • An Introduction to Hindi and Urdu by Richard Barz and Yogendra Yadav (Munshiram Manoharlal, New Delhi:2000)

  • Hindi Exercise Manual with set of CD Recordings by Richard Barz and Yogendra Yadav (Canberra:1994)

Syllabus:

The Basic Hindi Conversation Course encourages students to:

  • engage in conversation by initiating and responding to questions.
  • apply the grammatical constructs and framework of the Hindi language.

 

Assessment Requirements:

The assessment requirements are defined in the Couse Outline.

Contact Hours:

Two hours of lectures a week throughout the semester..
