Enhancing research capacity in primary health care through strategic partnerships

 

National Linkages

The Primary Health Care Research & Information Service (PHC RIS) is a national general practice and primary health care organisation based at Flinders University in South Australia, funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing. It provides information about Australian general practice research. PHC RIS collates research data and provides a range of support and evaluation resources.

The National Institute of Clinical Studies (NICS) improves Australian health care by helping close important gaps between best available evidence and current clinical practice.

Australian General Practice Network (AGPN) is the peak national body representing 120 Divisions of General Practice and 7 State Based Organisations across Australia, and was established in 1998.

Research Australia

The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) APHCRI partners with the RACGP to co-sponosor the RACGP/ APHCRI Indigenous Health Award. This award is presented annually to two researchers working in the field of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health. The award builds research knowledge as well as researcher capacity in this important area of health for Australia.
