Guidelines for Presenters at TICCIA 2006

All presentations will occur in the Hilton Ballroom.

To help the conference run smoothly, we would like to get as many presentations as possible ahead of time. You can email your presentation to the TICCIA Organising Committee no later than Friday July 14th.

Oral Presenters:

Please refer to the program for your session date and time. Please leave time for questions and a 2 minute change over. The schedule is tight so please stick to the time allocated.

Loading of Presentations:

To help us in running this conference as smoothly as possible we would ask that all presenters use the computer provided. As such, we would like to pre-load presentations before the conference.

There are a large number of presenters so it is important that we have your presentation loaded on the computer before you start your talk. This can be accomplished in two ways:

  • At the conference make sure your presentation is loaded on the computer provided (from a disk, CD or USB memory stick). No changes to presentations will be accepted less than half a day before you are due to present (see below for information on what type of media and computer software are suitable). Technical support will be available each day to help you with loading your talks to the computer.

For those who are presenting on Monday morning July 24th and for people that arrive in Cairns a day or two early: Between 4.30pm – 6.00pm, Sunday July 23rd Hilton Ballroom, technical support will be available for presentations to be loaded onto the computer.

 Hilton Ballroom Equipment:

  • lectern
  • data/video projector
  • computer
  • VCR/DVD
  • overhead projector
  • microphone (lapel and fixed)
  • screen

The computer supplied will have the latest version of PowerPoint. Please note it will not have live web access. Please bring your presentation on one of the following media:

  • a 3.25" diskette
  • a CD-ROM
  • USB memory stick

Poster Session Presenters:

Please prepare posters to the size of A1 (841mm x 594mm) or smaller. Please bring your posters to the registration desk Monday morning July 24th and we will advise you on where to place your work. Drawing pins, tape and Velcro fasteners will be available.
