Instructions for abstract submission
Please submit an abstract of no more than 300 words, including:
- Title
- Author/s name/s
- Affiliation
- Contact details: Email and mailing address
- Outline of proposed topic. The outline should state the scope and
principal objectives of the research; describe the methods used; summarise
the results; and state the principal conclusions.
- Presentation format: Oral or Poster?
- Technical requirements if oral: Computer or Overhead projector?
- Which theme your presentation would fit under:
- Advances in assessment methodologies to support adaptation
(e.g., vulnerability assessment; risk management approaches;
emerging integrated assessment methodologies for dealing with
multiple, interacting stresses; role of participatory, community-based
(“bottom-up”) assessment approaches)
- Impacts of climate variability and change at regional and
local scales (e.g., cost-benefit studies, model downscaling,
the role of extreme events, and other aspects of achieving a
better understanding of the nature and consequences of monthly-interdecadal
climate variability and anthropogenic climate change)
- Academic and/or practical aspects of translating climate
information into decision making.
- Theory and practice of building resilience and/or adaptive
capacity to climate variability and/or climate change.
Selection of papers for oral and poster presentation will be based
on the abstracts only.
