HOW DO I APPLY?

To be considered for an Internship with ANIP, you must apply specifically to the Australian National Internships Program. All student applications and supporting documents should be sent to the ANIP office, electronically where possible. (Late applications can not be considered)

Your ANIP application will consist of:

  • a 500 word statement on what you hope to achieve as an Intern.

  • a resume/curriculum vitae outlining your educational and other qualifications i.e. work experience and other interests. (no referee details)

  • a current official transcript of all your academic results (you can update this later). ANU students can download a Statement of Results from ISIS

  • three referee reports (at least two of these should be academic referees). Reports must be written on the attached ANIP Referee Report PDF File or RTF File Questionnaire. It is your responsibility to either download the PDF form and provide a copy to each of your nominated referees or ask the referee to email the RTF form to internships@anu.edu.au. Forms are to be returned to ANIP by referees, by the closing date for applications for the particular semester you wish to apply for. The names of referees should be included on a separate page with your application documentation (not on your resume/CV).

  • approval documentation a letter of approval from your College office if an ANU student. Cross-institutional Non-Award applicants will need to provide a written statement from your home institution indicating that the course in which you are enrolling will be included in your degree and evidence of the level of your HECS-HELP liability for your degree program. You may use the UG Cross Institutional Approval Form or PG Cross Institutional Approval Form in place of the written statement.
