Monographs
As well as producing standard dictionaries, the Centre also produces
a range of specialised studies in aspects of Australian English.
These include regional dictionaries that study the language of
Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, and Western Australia,
and historical studies that look at the language of gold rushes
and the convict era.
Aussie English for Beginners
A three volume series published by the National Museum of Australia
which takes a light-hearted look at the rich and distinct vocabulary
of Australian English, with definitions provided by the Australian
National Dictionary Centre and cartoons by David Pope. The series
is based on a display in the Nation: Symbols of Australia
