Dorothy JaunceyEmail: Dorothy.Jauncey@anu.edu.au Dr Dorothy Jauncey's PhD from the Australian National University was awarded in 1998 for ‘A Grammar of Tamambo, the language of western Malo, Vanuatu’. She worked at the ANDC as a researcher and editor from 1999 to 2008, and tutored and lectured in Academic English in the Linguistics Department. The revised and updated PhD thesis has been accepted for publication by Pacific Linguistics. She contributed two chapters to the lexical monograph Voices of Queensland (Oxford University Press, 2001), and published Bardi Grabs and Frog Cakes—South Australian Words (Oxford University Press, 2004). As a visiting fellow, she intends focusing on the lexical elements of the northern Vanuatu language of Tamambo, and her research project is ‘A Dictionary of Tamambo, Vanuatu’.
