The Australian National University is delighted to announce the establishment of the ANU Lesbian Gay Bisexual Trans Intersex and Queer (LGBTIQ) Alumni Network.
The network will be officially launched on Wear it Purple Day, Friday 31 August at 6pm, by the Honourable Andrew J. Barr, MLA BA(PolS) (1996). ACT Chief Minister Barr is a proud ANU graduate and prominent LGBTIQ public figure, and will also act as the inaugural patron of the network.
The aim of the LGBTIQ Alumni Network is to develop and nurture professional and social links among the ANU LGBTIQ alumni community and provide an ongoing connection between LGBTIQ-alumni and ANU. We invite and welcome all LGBTIQ-identifying alumni and allies to join this network.
The launch event will take place at the China In The World Auditorium and Lotus Hall on ANU campus
