Alumni Mentoring Network

Calling Alumni to volunteer as Mentors

Remember when you were a student? If you knew your career goals, you probably wanted to speak with such career people before Graduation. If you didn't know what to do, you probably wanted to speak with anybody in a career even slightly related to your degree, to assist you with choices.

We are looking for Alumni to volunteer as Mentors for current students. The first Alumni Mentoring Network event will be held in Canberra in March/April. A group of Alumni Mentors will meet with current ANU students to answer their questions about study at ANU and how your degree(s) assisted with your journey into your current job. Discussions are completed in a one-on-one 'speed networking' manner. The idea is to assist students with career choices by exposing them to the career stories of ANU Alumni. You are not required to give specific career advice or speak about the organisation you work for - rather discuss your experience at ANU and consequent journey into the type of job you have today.

We need Alumni Mentors in Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne in particular right now, but also Malaysia, Hong Kong and Singapore for returning new graduates. Wherever you live, if you are interested, please volunteer. It's easy. simply take 30 seconds to register your interest
