A Singular Talent - A Retrospective Exhibition of George Ingham
Chairs of the Alumni - The ongoing Narrative

Venue: ANU School of Art Gallery, Building 105, Ellery Crescent Acton (Gallery Hours: Tuesday - Friday 10.30am - 5pm, Saturday Noon - 5pm
Date: Opening 2 October at 6pm by Dr Robert Bell (PhD 2008). Exhibition runs from 3 - 31 October 2009
More information: The two exhibitions share the same space and celebrate the work and influence of the same singular designer and teacher. One is a retrospective survey: the other, a contemporary response by former students to the challenge of chair design. It is intended that the coincidence of these exhibitions be an active encounter about relationships: the highlighting of the relationship of a designer with materials and furniture and, in addition, about the vitality of connections made between teacher and student.
