The Australian National University purchased a building
in Melbourne situated at 52 Collins Street in May, 1999.
The building was purchased as part of the University's
investment portfolio, with most of the floor space being taken
up by commercial tenancies; the top floor, formerly the Chair
of the Bank of Melbourne's offices, has been retained for University
use.
The top floor consists of an office, conference and meeting facilities
and will be used to interact with the important Melbourne business
community; extend the delivery of postgraduate programs, and to
support University research commercialisation activities.
