About CLO

The ANU China Liaison Office (CLO), established in 2017, forms a key component of the University's international efforts in enhancing the ANU-China dialogue in research, exchange and collaboration.

The Office secures strong relationships in China into the future across multiple research partnerships, student and alumni relations and industry engagement. ANU holds deep and multi-faceted relationships and partnerships in China. Already the university is one of the world's largest centres for research on China, outside China.

The China Liaison Office further enhances the University's relationships in China across institutional partnerships, research collaboration, mobility and exchange and alumni engagement, and strategic institutional partnerships, and runs a year-round internship program.

ANU is Australia's most international university, ranked first in Australia and 7th in the world for international outlook according to the Times Higher Education International Outlook Indicator from 2016/17. Further, graduates from the ANU have been rated as Australia's most employable graduates and among the most sought after by employers worldwide (THE rankings 2016). ANU is a member of the International Alliance of Research Universities (IARU) as well as the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU). ANU is proud to welcome many students from China to its campus in Canberra.
