Real Time Relativity

Real Time Relativity is a computer program that allows the user to interactively experience a virtual relativistic world. It runs on Windows and Mac OS X operating systems.

We have evidence that it is useful for introductory relativity teaching. The idea is to learn some relativity by experiencing it in a virtual world. Our educational research is documented in our publications.

Using RTR in first year university physics

Real Time Relativity has been used for several years in first year physics classes at The Australian National University and at The University of Queensland.

We provide a Teaching Package to help with using it for teaching relativity.
