Curved space = force analogy

This animation illustrates that two separated points moving in as straight a path as possible (geodesics) can change their separation. To beings living on the sphere (Flatlanders) this could be mistaken for a force.

This makes plausible the General Relativistic idea that curved spacetime can explain the "force of gravity".
