SITUATIONS VACANT POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE THEORETICAL QUANTUM OPTICS Department of Physics The University of Queensland 12 MONTHS FIXED TERM. A vacancy exists for a Research Associate to work in the area of theoretical atoms optics. The project concerns theoretical modelling of laser cooled atoms in modulated optical standing waves in support of experiments in nonlinear atom optics. The project is directed by Professor Gerard J. Milburn, and supported by a ARC grant. The successful applicant must have a PhD in theoretical quantum optics with numerical modelling experience. An understanding of Wigner function dynamics would be advantageous. Salary is in the range $38 589 - $41 422. Applications withe two letters of reference should be sent to Professor G.J.
