Europe Update at the National Europe Centre

One of the missions of the National Europe Centre is bring together experts from academia, politics and practice for a conference series called Europe Update. Presenters provide the audience with short briefings on the latest issues and developments within Europe. Europe Update is open to the interested public.

Europe Update 2009 offers a one day program of presentations by leading scholars and policy practitioners which provide an accessible overview of recent developments in the EU and challenges facing the EU-Australia relationship. This year, the event is combined with the annual Schuman Lecture, which is presented by Ms Helga Schmid, Director of the Policy Unit of the Council of the European Union.
