Transform a selection Options are accessed after creating selection: Edit > Transform > Scale Scale enables you to resize a selection either proportionately or disproportionately. Hold down the Shift key to constrain the transformation proportionally. Click inside the ticked checkbox icon in the options menu to apply the Scale effect. Edit > Transform > Free Transform To freely rotate the selection, drag on a corner handle of the Free Transform bounding box. Other commands that are available in Free Transform are Skew, Scale, Distort, and Perspective. In each case to apply the effect click inside the ticked checkbox icon in the options menu.

With skew you are able to shift opposite sides of a selection in opposite directions a bit like italicizing a letter. |

Perspective enables you to slant the top, bottom, or sides of a selection toward or away from the viewer. The four corners of the bounding box, enables you to reshape a selection area by manipulating the corners with the cursor.
