Core_Computer Studies: Login on and Sourcing information and files stored on Oracle

In the labs in order to log in you are greeted by this on screen You need your student number and Pac number to access the computers in both labs and to access the internet. If for some reason you have lost your pac number you have to go to the chancelry to get another and it will take a few days to activate.

 

Your name is your student number and your pac number is your password

When you logon you will see 2 icons one is your user space the other is Oracle.

Double click your users icon to see files stored there. This is your working space.

You will also need to access files from Oracle from time to time.

 

 

 

To access files from Oracle:

When you login you will see your users icon and another icon called "Oracle".

Double click on that icon and find the NITA folder double click on the folder to open it and inside is a folder titled CoreComputer.

Double click on the CoreComputer folder and inside you will find files you need to access for the course.

When you find the file you need select, and holding the mouse button down "drag and drop" the file to your users. A small green plus sign appears to indicate that you are making a copy of that file on your users. Release the mouse button and a copy of the file will appear in your users.
