General Information

Core Computer Studies is offered to students in semester 2 of the first year of the undergraduate degree course. The course is undertaken by all students. The program is a 1 day a week,13 week semester timetable combining 2 hour workshop modules, a lecture program, group tutorials, visiting artists talks and assessment.

The course provides an introduction to computers, computer software and information technology. Study workshop modules involve Computer Basics, Photoshop, Illustrator, 3D and Web page Design.

The introductory session on Tuesday 20th of July at 9am in the Lecture Theatre will involve, an introduction to the course, timetable, assessment and streaming students into groups and workshop modules. All students will have a digital portrait recorded in the afternoon. This digital portrait is the basis of student projects.

Sessions are held in the lecture theatre every Tuesday.Classes are held in NITA labs 1, 2 and 3.
