The Video Art Studio provides facilities for graduate and honours students to make use of video as part of their research projects. The Video Art Studio combines resources from a number of Workshops with a high-end video capture and editing suite equipped with appropriate software. This facility provides integrated resources which enables students to propose film, video, interactive multimedia and video installation practices as a component of honours and graduate studies

Equipped with the latest desktop editing equipment, the School of Art Video Art Studio supports graduate students and visiting artists pursuits into the moving image. The Video Lab's centrepiece is a G5 2.5 GHz Macintosh computer with 4 Gigabytes of Ram and two 250Gigabyte hard drives. Attached to the computer is a Sony DV Cam / mini DV player recorder, Sony 14inch Monitor, one 17inch LCD screen, one 19inch CRT screen. All School of Art graduate students and visiting artists that are proficient with the Final Cut Pro HD suite of software can utilise the lab.
