| Lectures
and tutorials are held in the School's lecture theatre, Conference
Room, or in the Library Seminar Room. These facilities provide
equipment for slide, video and data projection. The Art Theory
Workshop also makes use of the School's proximity to the national
collecting institutions such as the National Gallery of Australia
and the National Library of Australia, to provide students
with direct experience of images and objects. At present Core
Studies (First Year) theory classes are held at the National
Gallery of Australia.
Conferences
The Workshop provides a forum for discussion on critical issues
in the visual arts by hosting conferences and seminars. Often
linked to the School's major events, exhibitions or visiting
artists and scholars programs and open to the general public
and school community, these seminars have a vital role in
contributing to visual arts debates.
