Tapestry is an ancient form of weaving. The warp (or vertical threads) are wound around a simple frame. The weft (or horizontal threads are woven through the warp threads to create the design or pattern. Like much of my other work I find the landscape a great inspiration. Most of my ideas for tapestry come from sketches I have made while in the bush. See one of my tapestries being made. This page shows some tapestry samplers of color blending techniques. |
