Costume on the Web The Mileux Costume site: 

This site is for those interested in Historical, Science Fiction & Fantasy costume. It has many links to a wealth of information about textiles and other items such as shoes, armour and the like!

The History of Costume By Braun & Schneider - c.1861-1880

An online version of a book that was printed from 1861 to 1880. The publication contained 500 costume designs of historical dress from antiquity to the end of the 19th century. The plates are also online.

The Medici Archive Project Costume and Textiles:

This is part of the The Medici Archive Project which was founded in 1995 in order to produce documentary sources for the arts and Humanities and realize the potential of the Medici Granducal Archive, housed in the Archivio di Stato in Florence.an aspect of this project is to document the History of Costume and Textiles in the Medici Archive.
