High Distinction
(80 – 100%)

Within the context of a particular level, fulfills all the requirements of the subject to an exceptionally high level of competence, demonstrates an exceptionally high level of imaginative development and innovation, a sophisticated synthesis of concept process and material, thorough and original intellectual and technical achievement in appropriate visual, documentary, or written forms, and shows a high level of critical awareness of the field in which the subject is located.

 

First Class Honours

(80 – 100%)

 

Distinction
(70 – 79%)

Within the context of a particular level, fulfills all requirements of the subject to a high level of competence, demonstrates a high level of imaginative development and innovation, a capacity for consistent original intellectual and technical achievement in appropriate visual, documentary, or written forms, and shows significant critical awareness of the field in which the subject is located.

 

Second Class Honours, 
Division A
(70 – 79%)

(60 – 69%)

Within the context of a particular level, fulfills all requirements of the subject, achieves a level of competence appreciably beyond satisfactory, demonstrates a significant recognition of the challenges of the subject, and shows a critical awareness of the field in which the subject is located.
