Course Overview:
The Honours program involves students in two semesters of supervised research. It is comprised of a Studio Practice Project and an accompanying paper, the Studio Report which documents the development and context of the
project undertaken. Together these constitute the Honours Thesis.
The program requirements include the presentation of a research proposal, development of studio work, attendance at Workshop seminars and critiques as specified by each Workshop, presentation of research work as required, and
participation in School Honours sessions.
At the end of first semester Studio Project work and a Studio Report Outline are presented for Review. The final items examined are the outcomes of the Studio Practice project and the 3-5000 word Studio Report.

Course Problems
If you have problems concerning a course you are taking, it is best in the first instance to speak directly to the lecturer concerned, or the Honours Coordinator. You can also take up your concerns with the Head of School. Many courses and programs have student representatives, and you may find it useful to direct your concerns via them. The ANU Students’ Association (ANUSA) has two Student Representatives in the College of Arts and Social Sciences who can help you with problems or concerns that you may have with your course or degree. They can help you by talking to lecturers or tutors on your behalf, help you address your concerns with assessment, and give you advice about appeals procedures. They also sit on a number of College Committees, so let them know if you have complaints or suggestions for improvement about your courses or about facilities and services more generally. You can contact them by emailing them at arts.facrep@anu.edu.au or visit the ANUSA website for more information http://sa.anu.edu.au. |
