Applications are welcome from school leavers and mature age students Australia wide and internationally. The ANU School of Art is part of the Universities Admission Centre (UAC) network, so all Australian and New Zealand undergraduate candidates must apply to UAC. A UAC application form is available in the Student Information Guide (SIG) issued to all NSW ACT year 12 students. Applications are due by the last working day in September. When completing the UAC application form please use the School of Art codes. Requests for UAC guides by post are charged posting and handling.

Following application through UAC, entry is based on interviews which normally take place in the last week in November. Applicants are required to present a folio of recent work and undertake a life and general drawing session at the School as well as the interview. Applicants can obtain more information about the individual Workshops on this web site.

Prospective students should ring Student Services on 02 6125 2898 in August or September to arrange an interview date. Successful applicants are notified mid January.

School leavers are required to have their ACT Higher School Certificate or its equivalent. However in special circumstances, students who do not hold this qualification may be accepted into an undergraduate course. Mature age students over the age of 21 are not required to have this qualification.
