Stream 2: Academic Leadership and Research Supervision

Participants undertake a structured program of study, research and skills development on the theory and practice of:

• supervising research students
• academic leadership and management

All participants complete the following 6 unit courses:
EDUC8004 - Research Supervision
EDUC8007 - Academic Leadership and Management
EDUC8006 - Action Learning Project
EDUC8001 - Enhancing Your Academic Practice

EDUC8006 involves a program of action learning that is integrated as two 3-unit components within EDUC8004 and EDUC8007 respectively.
EDUC8001 provides a capstone course where you reflect on your learning resulting from the three previous courses, and set your own developmental priorities for the future.

Between face-to-face sessions participants will be expected to engage in course readings, project work and on-line discussions. The program is flexible - participants can customise their study commitments to meet specific needs, subject to overall assessment requirements.
