I want to thank all my assistants in the coucal project for their invaluable contributions to my PhD and to my sanity during the mad hot wet season in the field!

Previous assistants in my projects have moved on to engage in a PhD (S. Quinlan), a masters (S. Musgrave) or a first class honours (M. Starling). Two former assistant (M. Suesser, Claire Smith) have now taken up position in conservation organisations in Germany and Britain. Others continue to work in field-projects all over the world (A. Quellmalz, O. Milenkaya).
